Podcast Host for “Don’t Come Here: Stories of the Treasure Coast

Think you have what it takes to host a podcast and star in a YouTube series all about Florida’s Treasure Coast? Read on to discover what we’re searching for! The ideal podcast host will:

The Fun Stuff:
– Be an engaging, outgoing, adventurous, and curious conversationalist with some hosting or public-facing experience (i.e. a theater performer, event host, tour guide, etc.)
– Excel at storytelling and know how to effectively captivate an audience
– Have a deep knowledge and authentic passion for Florida’s Treasure Coast and the unique experiences for visitors and residents alike
– Ideally be involved with our local Treasure Coast arts and cultural organizations or community theatres (such as the Cultural Council of Indian River County, the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance, MartinArts, etc.)
– Be willing to submit a “screen test” video sample and meet the team during an in-person casting call

The Boring Stuff:
– Be a year-round Indian River, St. Lucie, or Martin County, resident
– Be over 18 with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– Be comfortable on camera
– Be flexible and available to record 2 back-to-back episodes in person once every other month at our studio in Port St. Lucie (approximately a 3-hour commitment each recording day)
– Do some light research and connect with selected guests prior to each episode
– Be available for some in-person activities throughout the year (such as attending the Treasure Coast Wine and Ale Trail Festival on November 19, 2022)
– Be willing to occasionally film on-site segments around the Treasure Coast for specific episodes

Please submit your headshot, resume (if applicable), and a one-minute video performing an intro and an outro for the podcast. Any other time in the video can be used at your discretion. The video should be submitted by providing a link to a video hosting site such as Vimeo or YouTube. Please DO NOT send us video file attachments. These will not be accepted.

Submissions are due by September 16, 2022, at 5 p.m. EST.
